Code of Conduct

I,_______________________ will myself demonstrate and instruct my children to demonstrate brotherly love and respect to God, other people, and property.

(Titus 2:7-8 “7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.”)

I acknowledge that neglecting to do so will forfeit our family's participation in our home school co-operative.

CLAE Policies

-Top priority is to show respect toward God, others, and property. Bullying is not tolerated in any capacity. We as a whole will strive to love one another.

-Parents are responsible for their children at all times. If your child is not registered for a class during any given period, your child needs to be present with a parent or designated adult.

-Dress code: Be mindful that this is a Christ-centered co-op designed to be safe for all students, male and female. Seeing as we want to please the Lord with our dress and our conduct, parents are trusted to parent their children in the matter. If there are obvious issues, it will simply be brought to the parent’s attention to be remedied.

-Cancelation policy: Our cancellations will go along with Bryan City Schools delays and cancellations. 2 Hour delays will mean shortened classes as follows:

1st period: 10:00-10:30, 2nd period 10:35-11:05, 3rd period 11:10-11:40, 4th period 11:45-12:15

-Students will please leave pocket knives or any other weapons at home.

-If behavior issues arise in a class, teachers will take step-by-step actions in response in order to create a positive learning environment for all students:

First offense: verbal warning

Second offense: student seating/privilege changes, changes within the classroom at teacher

discretion.

Third offense:parents notified

Fourth offense: one co-op meeting suspension

Fifth offense: parent discussion about further involvement with CLAE.

Teachers have autonomy in their own classrooms to decide the offenses worthy of action. However, physical altercations will not be tolerated and is considered a “fourth” offense.

-Students are required to help their teachers do a quick clean-up at the end of each class. We are so privileged to use this facility, so we will show our appreciation by keeping it tidy.
