Welcome to dance class! In this class, we will be exploring the different styles within Jazz Dance. We will learn how to create art with our bodies as we dance to various styles of Christian music; from upbeat hip-hop and lyrical worship, to Irish folk and even theater inspired. Come join me in praising the Lord through dance!

God's Wonderful Works
Teacher: Barb Galbraith
ISBN # 1930092083
Christian Liberty Press. A large black and white bird swooping down in the blue ocean water catching a fish is on the front cover. You will need to purchase this book and have it the first day of class. If you put the ISBN # in Google, it will give you several places to buy it. Amazon has it for $3.50-$15.00.
Weekly printing is required. The students can take turns reading aloud from the book. There may be activities the book asks you to complete at home due to the small time frame we have to work with in class. Our students will be excited to study creation based upon the six-day account described in the book of Genesis. There will be hand-outs that go with the book, some will be done in class, others will be sent home. Homework needs to be completed at home and brought back. I have many classroom hands-on activities planned; this will help with learning comprehension of each creation day.
Send these required items inside an art box each week:
-Three PENCILS sharpened ready to use
-1 eraser
-16 count real Crayons
-One pair of scissors

Come and enjoy a time of fun and fellowship. Playing games is a great way to build character, connect with friends and learn more about others and ourselves. In this class we will utilize games of all kinds: board games, card games, games of challenge and skill, trivia games and any other types we can think of. While we play we will focus on good sportsmanship and treating each other respectfully. We may also decide to add snacks to our time. If so, we will have a sign up sheet so everyone can share that load.
